To give Trine a service dog specialized for her PTSD and ADHD, I learned how to train service dogs and hired coaches to help both me, Trine and Akito (soon shortened to Aki) through the process. A collie is not the perfect match for a service dog due to their skittishness and over-breeding, but Trines family had always had collies so she felt more confident with that breed and that was what mattered most. And what a wonderful dog and helper Aki became, as much friend as helper and utterly loyal!
